4-Year-Old Group Educators
Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor – Tanya Millar
Tanya has a Bachelor of Early Learning and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and joined our kindergarten in early 2023. Tanya views all children as active, capable citizens holding rights within their community, learning best through a play-based emergent curriculum, allowing open ended learning to spark children’s natural curiosity.
Co-Educator – Michelle Phillips
Michelle holds a Diploma of Community Services – Childcare and has over 25 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys supporting children to learn, develop, make new discoveries and to confidently navigate their way through their preschool journey. When not at Preschool, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family.
Yuliana – Traineeship and Educator
Yuliana currently work as an educator as part of the Victorian Early Childhood Traineeship Program. She is currently studying at Chisholm TAFE towards her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education. Valuing children being able to engage in play-based learning, she is enjoying watching their imagination at play and supporting their curiosity.
Early Childhood Language Teacher – Paty Bedian
Paty joined us at the start of 2024 as our Early Childhood Language Teacher teaching Spanish! Being a bi-lingual kindergarten Paty teaches within the 4-year-old group for 12 hours per week. She teaches in small groups and build the language into the children’s daily routine. The children thoroughly enjoy learning Spanish!
3-Year-Old Group Educators
Educator – Susan Natoli
Susan has a Diploma and a Bachelor in Education, plus many years’ experience in the Early Childhood Education. Her welcoming smile and enthusiasm for education is a great asset for Brentwood.
Co-Educator – Angela Catania
Angela holds a Diploma in Children Services. Angela’s caring and gentle nature contributes to making her a well-respected educator. Angela enjoys spending time with her family outdoors and walking her puppy.
Co-Educator – Derina Mafodda
Derina has been working at Brentwood for the past 2 years, initially starting as an additional assistant or Kindergarten Inclusion Support worker. Derina is currently studying and working towards her Certificate 3 in Early Education and Care. Derina has become a much valued member of the kinder community through her interactions with the children and families.
